Business Grand Opening Grant (BGO)

What
The BGO Grant Program aims to support and promote the successful launch of new businesses in West Palm Beach, Florida. By providing a small financial boost, supported with a range of exposure opportunities, the program establishes a steppingstone for new businesses to allow them to open with their best foot forward.

Creative Signage Support Grant (CSS)

What
The CSS Grant Program aims to support the marketing and branding process for small businesses or merchant/industry associations in West Palm Beach. By providing financial assistance for sign design, construction and installation, the businesses or districts are encouraged to create iconic signage that enhance their visual identity and contribute to the City’s diverse and dynamic commercial environment, increasing quality of place.

Climate Smart Business
Grant (CSB)

What
The CSB Grant Program aims to incentivize businesses in West Palm Beach, Florida, to embrace sustainability and contribute to the city’s efforts toward achieving net-zero emissions. By equipping businesses with the resources, expertise, and financial assistance to implement advanced sustainable practices, businesses not only advance their own image but also create scalable solutions that resonate throughout the community. By spearheading these initiatives, their commitment to sustainability can inspire residents, encourage widespread adoption of green practices, and accelerate progress toward a more eco-conscious city. Business Expansion and Retention Support (BERS)

What
The BERS program is designed to fuel the growth and sustainability of vital business areas and industries in West Palm Beach, Florida. Whereas difficult or unique cases cannot be accommodated under other incentive programs, and since all scenarios cannot be anticipated, BERS provides targeted assistance for what the business truly needs to be successful. In this way, maximum impact can be achieved to ensure continued success.

Façade and Exterior Improvement Program

What
This grant is available to businesses for aesthetic improvements to the exterior of commercial buildings and sites. The grant provides 80% of the project cost up to a maximum CRA grant of $10,000.

Real Estate Development Accelerator (REDA)

What
Primarily for large scale development projects greater than $5 million, this incentive can be utilized in the form of land mark-down, infrastructure improvements, Tax Increment Financing or similar type of assistance. Each project is negotiated on an individual basis based on a gap in a development pro forma.

Commercial Interior Build-Out Assistance Grant

What
The Commercial Interior Build-Out Assistance Program is designed to help facilitate the establishment of new businesses and aid in the expansion of existing businesses within the Northwood/Pleasant City CRA Districts. The CRA will provide a grant for 80% of the project cost up to a maximum CRA grant of $25,000.

CCTV Security Grants for Commercial Properties

What
The program encourages commercial and non-residential property owners to install security cameras that connect with the West Palm Beach Police Department’s Real-Time Crime Center. Eligible businesses and property owners may receive up to four professionally installed CCTV cameras, including mounting hardware and standard installation, at no cost to the applicant, with grants of up to $3,000 per property.

Relocation and Development Assistance

What
The CRA may assist with relocation and development of certain uses to allow for a more desirable or upgraded use. This program provides the incentives necessary for redevelopment including tenant relocation, acquisition, build out and rehabilitation or renovation of existing properties.

Beautify Northwood Program

What
This program is an opportunity for businesses located along Broadway, North Dixie Hwy. and in Northwood Village to request assistance with minor cosmetic improvements such as painting, lighting, landscaping and signage. The CRA will provide funding in an amount not to exceed qualifying project costs up to $3,500.
